tablet contains 500 mg Glucosamine HCl, 400 mg 95% Sodium Chondroitin
Sulfate 5% Mixed Glycosaminoglycans, 33 mg Ascorbate and 5 mg Manganese.

What is this product used for
Cosequin DS is a nutritional supplement to help dogs maintain healthy
joints. Cosequin DS is an exclusive formula to support and maintain the
health of the dogs joints.
Availability
Cosequin DS Chewable Tablets is a non-prescription (OTC) product available
as roast beef flavor tablets.
How this product should be used
The usual starting dose, for the first 6 weeks, for dogs under 10 lbs
is 1/2 tablet once a day, for dogs 10 to 24 lbs give 1 tablet once a day,
for dogs 25-49 lbs give 1 tablet twice a day (1 in the morning and 1 in
the evening), for dogs 50 to 100 lbs give 3 tablets daily (2 in the morning
and 1 tablet in the evening), and for dogs over 100 lbs give 4 tablets
daily (2 in the morning and 2 in the evening). After 6 weeks, the dog
may be placed on a maintenance dose.
What are the side effects
Side effects are rare but may include diarrhea.
What special precautions are there
This product is not intended to be used in place of other treatments in
the presence of an infection or if surgery is needed.
In the event of overdose
Overdose is not likely but may result in diarrhea.
How should I store this product
Store the container in a cool, dry area out of direct sunlight. Keep the
lid tightly closed. Keep out of the reach of children.
