First Aid : Dog Bleeding
Bleeding
If your dog
is bleeding externally and profusely, an attempt should be made to stop
the bleeding. (Severe bleeding must receive immediate attention no matter
what other injuries are present.) Apply a tourniquet between the cut and
the heart. Loosening every 3 - 5 minutes
If your dog
is bleeding internally, you might see very pale gums, coughing up blood,
bleeding from nose, mouth, rectum, blood in his urine, collapse, rapid
or weak pulse. Keep him as warm and quiet as possible. Call your vet!
