Don't get the impression that Ecollars are perfect, they're not. First of all they cost more than just about any other tool that exists to train a dog. Second you have to remember to keep the batteries charged up. You must remember to put them on the dog and you must remember to bring both the transmitter and the collar with you when you train your dog.
