The reflective collars are made of durable and washable nylon. During the day, they look like ordinary dog collars, but at night they reflect any light that shines on them, such as automobile headlights. In normal lighting you can't even tell there's anything special about the fabric.

The new technology allows the collars to glow in the dark for up to 12 hours with as little as five minutes of exposure to any light source.
