Pet Carriers
Pet Carriers Which carrier is right for my dog? A pet carrier is ideal when you are taking your dog on the road. A good pet carrier should be lightweight for easy handling, but yet still durable. Choose a carrier that is not too small, but it should not be so large that your pet is thrown from side to side. Carriers and travel A hard carrier is required if you plan to take your dog along on a plane. Make sure to inquire about this when you make reservations. Tell the airline that your pet will travel with you and ask for carrier requirements. Hard carriers are generally safer than soft carriers whichever means of travel you choose. Never use force! Don't force your dog into the carrier. Most dogs will need to become familar with the carrier before they will willingly enter it. If you try and force him into the carrier he will have negative associations with the carrier and he will probably just become scared and whine and howl whenever he sees it.
